Glicide

Grace. Poise. Rhythm. Beauty. Gentleness. Joy.
I have this friend...
lets call her Emily.

and when she dances, she shows everyone who is watching her just how much she loves to move.

Floating across the stage, she tells two different stories:

one is the story of the dance itself,
but the other, more precious than the first, is the story of her life.

It's beautiful to see the way she soaks in every movement and emotion of the dance and shares a little piece of herself with those watching. She has always loved to dance. God placed that flicker of a flame in her heart before she was born and every day He fans that flame, inspiring her to dance for Him even more.

Like Emily, we all have a passion that we desire to "dance" out. Don't be afraid to live your dreams out to the fullest. The Lord will use them in beautiful ways, inspiring others to chase after their own dreams as well.

God places dreams into each of us for a reason - don't give up on them, no matter how unreasonable they may seem at the time. You are LIMITLESS with God on your side.

"Hold fast to dreams,
for if dreams die,
life is a broken winged bird
that cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams,
for when dreams go,
life is a barren field
frozen with snow."
- Langston Hughes

May you go now and dance across the waters, eyes focused tightly on the Lord.

  1. You may or may not know that Kelsey, the author of this blog, has a beautiful artful desire of her own that she uses to glorify the Lord and to bring joy to others around her. She has an insanely brilliant talent to create beautiful artwork.

First of all this talent amazes me because I can barely draw a stick figure correctly. But beyond the physical aspect of her work there is something more. God places these immaculate designs in her heart and she is so in touch with the Holy Spirit and has such great peace of mind that she is able to make these designs materialize on this earth. What makes her artwork so mesmerizing is that by looking at it you can tell she did not create it for her own personal satisfaction like many artists do. She rises above this temptation to be prideful in her creations. Instead you see that it was created with pure love for her God and for His glory.

Her work is unlike anything I have ever seen before. I find it hard to put into words to her when she shows me her work just how wonderful it is because there really are no words. It is like looking at a glimpse of heaven.

Kelsey inspires me and many others around her to do what I love to do for the glory of God. It's easy to get caught up in trying to be perfect and caring about what others think but she helps me realize that all that matters is that you work for to increase God's kingdom. So many people in this world lack purpose even though they are aware of the desires of their heart. We are so lucky to have this knowledge of our on-purpose God. It makes doing what we love so much more fulfilling. And so much more meaningful. Thank you Kelsey, for sharing your gift with others for the glory of God. And thank you God for bringing Kelsey into my life to inspire me and encourage me to grow closer to You.
